The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is the fifteenth game in the series. It was announced on March 25, 2009 at the 2009 Game Developer's Conference by Nintendo global president Satoru Iwata. It is scheduled for release on a to be announced 2009 date in North America and Japan on the Nintendo DS, DS Lite and DSi.
Spirit Tracks is largely based on The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass in both graphics and gameplay. It is centered around Link traveling around the world on a steam locomotive, exploring dungeons and their puzzles to acquire new items as he progresses on his trek.
